Connect REPSLog to ChatGPT

You can connect REPSLog to ChatGPT and log your REPS work hours just by typing a sentence. Once connected, you can say things like "Log 2 hours of bookkeeping at my Maple St condo today" and ChatGPT will create the entry in your REPSLog account for you. This article walks you through connecting the two, step by step.

Good to know: REPSLog uses one account everywhere. The same REPSLog login works in both ChatGPT and Claude, so if you have already connected one, the other uses the same sign-in. Anything you log through ChatGPT shows up in the REPSLog app just like an entry you typed yourself.

Before You Start

You will need:

• A REPSLog Premium subscription. The ChatGPT connection is a Premium feature, so a free or Starter plan will not be able to connect.
• A REPSLog account you can sign into (the same email and password you use in the app).
• A ChatGPT account that supports apps and connectors.

Tip: If you are not sure which plan you are on, open the REPSLog app and go to Settings to check your subscription.

Two Ways to Connect

There are two ways to add REPSLog to ChatGPT:

• Add it from the ChatGPT app directory (recommended). REPSLog is now listed in ChatGPT, so you can search for it by name and add it in a couple of taps. Start here.
• Add it manually with the connector link. If you do not see REPSLog in the directory yet, or you prefer to paste the address yourself, use the manual steps further down.

Both ways connect to the exact same REPSLog account and give you the same features. Pick whichever you see.

Option A: Add REPSLog From the ChatGPT Directory (Recommended)

Step 1: Open Apps in ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, open the apps/connectors area. Depending on your version this is under Settings > Apps & Connectors, or from the + (plus) menu in a chat where you can browse available apps.

Step 2: Find REPSLog

Search for REPSLog in the directory and select the listing to open it. You can also go straight to it with this link: Open REPSLog in ChatGPT.

Step 3: Add REPSLog

On the REPSLog listing, choose Add (or Connect). ChatGPT will then ask you to sign in to REPSLog to finish linking your account.

Now continue to Sign In to REPSLog below.

Option B: Add REPSLog Manually With the Connector Link

Use this if you do not see REPSLog in the directory, or if you would rather paste the connector address yourself.

Step 1: Open Connectors in ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, open your Settings and go to Connectors (sometimes shown under Apps or Connected apps). This is where you add tools that ChatGPT can work with on your behalf.

Step 2: Add the REPSLog Connector

Choose to add a connector, then, when asked for the connector address, use:

api.reps-log.com/api/mcp

Confirm to add it.

Now continue to Sign In to REPSLog below.

Sign In to REPSLog (Connect Your Account)

Whichever way you added REPSLog, ChatGPT now asks you to sign in so it can link to your REPSLog account. A secure REPSLog sign-in page opens.

Here is what is happening in plain terms: you sign into REPSLog once, and that sign-in links your REPSLog account to ChatGPT. You are never sharing your password with ChatGPT. You simply log into REPSLog the same way you always do, and REPSLog confirms it is really you. After that, the connection is complete.

• Enter your REPSLog email and password (the same ones you use in the app).
• Approve the connection when prompted.

Same account across assistants: This is the exact same REPSLog sign-in used by the Claude connector. It verifies you are the real account owner and links ChatGPT to your REPSLog data. No separate account or password is created for ChatGPT.

Confirm You Are Connected

After signing in, ChatGPT shows REPSLog as Connected. That is it. You are ready to log hours by chatting.

Try Your First Prompt

Start a new chat and type a natural sentence describing the work you did. For example:

"Log 2 hours of bookkeeping at my Maple St condo today."

ChatGPT will use REPSLog to create the entry, then confirm it back to you. You can also ask things like "How many hours have I logged this month?" or "List my properties."

Tip: Open the REPSLog app afterward to see the new entry. Hours logged through ChatGPT appear right alongside the ones you add in the app.

What You Can Do Once Connected

• Log hours by describing the work, property, and time.
• Check your totals and your progress toward your tracking goal.
• Look up your properties, categories, and participants.

When you ask ChatGPT about your hours, REPSLog can show the answer as a clear visual card right inside the chat:

Your dashboard: goal ring, totals, and a breakdown by property.

Hours logged over a date range, with an STR / LTR filter.

A breakdown of your hours by property, category, or participant.

Your progress toward your REPS hours goal for the year.

Troubleshooting

I do not see REPSLog in the ChatGPT directory

The listing may not be available in your ChatGPT version or region yet. You can still connect using Option B: Add REPSLog Manually With the Connector Link above.

ChatGPT asks me to sign in to REPSLog again

This is normal from time to time. For your security, the connection occasionally needs you to re-confirm it is you. Just repeat the Sign In to REPSLog step: sign in when prompted, and the connection will refresh.

It says I am not Premium (or the connection will not finish)

The ChatGPT connection requires a REPSLog Premium subscription. If you are on the free or Starter plan, the connection will not complete and logging hours through ChatGPT will not work.

• Open the REPSLog app, go to Settings, and upgrade to Premium.
• Then return to ChatGPT and try connecting again.

If you believe you already have Premium but still see this message, fully close and reopen the REPSLog app so your subscription refreshes, then try again.

I want to disconnect and reconnect

If something is not working, removing and re-adding REPSLog usually clears it up.

1. In ChatGPT, open Settings then Apps & Connectors (or Connectors).
2. Find REPSLog and choose to remove or disconnect it.
3. Add it again by following Option A or Option B above.
