If you’ve been tracking your hours outside of REPSLog, you can import them into your account directly from the web app — no email needed.
Step 1: Open Import on the web app
- From a desktop browser, sign in at app.reps-log.com.
- Go to Settings → Import Past Data.
- On mobile, you’ll see a prompt to switch to desktop — file uploads work best on a larger screen.
Step 2: Prepare your CSV or Excel file
You can copy our sample CSV template or download it as CSV.
If you are tracking both Long-Term Rentals (LTR) and Short-Term Rentals (STR), submit a separate file for each.
Required columns (header names are case-insensitive; common aliases like Property, Hours, Duration, Notes are accepted too):
-
Property Address — the complete address exactly as it appears in your REPSLog properties.
Example:
1234 Wilshire Blvd, Apt 123, Los Angeles, CA 90069, USAIf the entry is not tied to a specific property, leave it blank or enter Unassigned.
-
Date — enter as
MM/DD/YYYYorYYYY-MM-DD. -
Hours Spent — task duration as a decimal. Maximum 24 hours per entry.
- Example:
1.5for 1 hour 30 minutes - Example:
0.25for 15 minutes
- Example:
-
Description — what was performed.
-
Who Performed the Activity — the name or role exactly as listed in your REPSLog account (e.g., Myself, Spouse, Cleaner, Property Manager, or any custom participant).
-
Category — the category name exactly as defined in your REPSLog account. Leave empty if no category applies.
Here is a small example of a correctly formatted file. The first row is the header, and each following row is one entry:
Property Address,Date,Hours Spent,Description,Who Performed the Activity,Category
1234 Wilshire Blvd, Apt 123, Los Angeles, CA 90069, USA,03/14/2024,1.5,Met with cleaning crew and inspected unit,Myself,Maintenance
Unassigned,2024-03-15,0.25,Reviewed monthly bookings report,Myself,Administrative
Tip: Save your file as
.csv(or.xlsx) and keep the header row exactly as shown. You only need the columns that apply to you, but including the headers helps the importer match everything automatically.
Step 3: Upload and map
- Drag your file onto the upload area, or click to browse.
- Click Upload & Analyze.
- If any column, property, category, or participant isn’t recognized, you’ll be asked to map it to an existing item or create it as new. The importer can also suggest a match automatically, so you can auto-classify missing categories, properties, and participants and review the suggestions before importing. Properties can be added on the spot via Google address search.
- Click Import with Mappings to finish.
Tip: When you choose to create a new category, property, or participant during import, it is added to your account on the spot so future rows and entries can use it right away.
Limits and plans
- Each self-service import supports up to 2,000 rows and a file size of 5 MB.
- Imports must fit within your plan’s limits (Entries, Properties, Categories). If an import would push you over the limit, you’ll be prompted to upgrade.
- For files larger than the limits, contact us — we’ll process the import for you.
