If you'd like to delete your REPSLog account, you can do so directly from the app.
Steps to delete your account
Open the REPSLog app on your device.
Go to the Settings screen.
Scroll all the way to the bottom.
Tap Delete Account and confirm the prompt.
What gets deleted
Once you confirm, your log is removed from the systems that run REPSLog and cannot be recovered. That means your entries and the files attached to them, your properties, categories and participants, your settings, and any connection you set up, such as a calendar, a booking calendar, an API key or an AI assistant. Anything we worked out from them goes with it, including your totals, your search index and your suggestions.
We also delete your email subscriptions, so nothing further is sent to you.
One thing does survive, and we would rather you hear it from us than find it out: a stripped record of how you used REPSLog. It is the first item below.
What we keep, and why
A few records are kept on purpose. Apart from the AI request log, none of them holds what you wrote:
- Usage records with your identity removed. This is the one to read. We keep a record of how the product was used: how long each entry took, what kind of work it was, which property type and category it belonged to, and what you bought. We take out what identifies you, including the text of your entries, your property addresses and your email address. It stays attached to an internal account number, which is not your name or your email. That does not make it anonymous: our billing and referral records can still connect that number back to you. We keep it for as long as it tells us something useful about how REPSLog is used, and then aggregate it.
- Billing and tax records. Tax and accounting law requires us to keep these, so we cannot delete them on request.
- Referral and affiliate records, which say how you found REPSLog. They include your account identifier, your email address and the campaign or keyword that brought you. Where somebody referred you, we owe them a payment and have to be able to show what was owed.
- Support conversations, for five years after your last message to us.
- Administrative and security records, kept for as long as we need them to keep honouring your requests and to show that we acted on them: a one-way scrambled copy of your email address on the deletion record, the log of actions taken on your account such as a deletion or an email change, and, if you asked us not to share your data, that request with your email address in full, so that we can keep honouring it.
- Technical error reports, which record that something failed and for which account and, for requests to our servers, the network address involved. Our error reporting provider deletes these automatically after a short period.
- Logs of the requests we make to AI providers on your behalf, held by our infrastructure provider. These can contain entry text we sent for indexing, a description an AI feature wrote, or the audio of a dictation take where the live connection dropped and the app sent the recording as a file. They are tagged with your account identifier, have no fixed expiry yet, and we are working on setting one.
- A marketing measurement record that your account signed up, started a trial or bought a subscription, held by our website analytics provider against your account identifier. We do not currently remove it.
Tip: Deletion takes effect straight away in the app. A copy can remain in our routine backups for up to 60 days, isolated from any further use, until the backup expires on its own. We do not restore a backup in order to bring deleted information back.
⚠️ Please be sure you want to proceed, as this action cannot be undone.
