REPSLog includes a directory of tax partners, shown on your dashboard under the heading our tax experts. It lists real estate CPA firms and cost segregation specialists, with a profile for each and a Book a Meeting button that opens the firm's own scheduling page. This guide shows you where to find the directory, what a profile contains, and how to get in touch with a firm. It works the same on iPhone, Android and the web app, on every plan including Free.
Before You Start
- The directory is on the Dashboard tab (the Overview on the web app). You do not need a paid plan to see it.
- Booking happens on the partner's own website. REPSLog opens it in your browser and does not send any of your entries, properties or hours to the firm.
- The list of partners is curated by REPSLog and changes over time, so the firms you see may differ from what a friend sees or what you saw last year.
Open the Tax Experts Directory
- Open REPSLog and go to the Dashboard tab.
- Scroll down past your hours counter, the breakdown cards and the activity cards.
- Find the section titled our tax experts. It shows a row of firm logos with the firm name under each one.
- On a phone, swipe the row sideways to see every partner. On the web app, hover over a logo to highlight it, then click.
Read a Partner Profile
Tap a logo to open the firm's profile page. Depending on the firm, the page can include:
- The firm name, a location line (for example Nationwide) and a short line about experience or founding year.
- A short video introduction.
- A description of the firm.
- Specialties, such as Real Estate Professional Status, the Short-Term Rental Loophole, cost segregation, entity arrangements, tax planning or IRS audit defense.
- Service Offerings, such as tax preparation, bookkeeping, entity formation, engineered cost segregation studies, Form 3115 preparation or audit support.
- Meet the Team, with headshots, names and roles.
- What Sets us Apart, a Clients line, Testimonials and Case Studies links.
On iPhone and Android the profile is a single scrolling page with the Book a Meeting button fixed at the bottom. On the web app the profile is two columns, with the button at the top of the right-hand column.
Tip: Compare the Specialties lists across two or three firms before you book. Some partners focus on tax strategy and preparation; others only do cost segregation studies.
If you own a short-term rental and rely on the STR loophole, look for Short-Term Rental Loophole in a firm's Specialties. Several partners work with short-term rental owners, and REPSLog's STR view (100 hours per property by default, with a per-property breakdown) is the record you would bring to that conversation.
Book a Meeting
- On the profile page, tap Book a Meeting.
- Your browser opens the firm's scheduling or contact page. This can be a calendar, a contact form or a client intake form, depending on the firm.
- Complete the booking on the firm's page. From this point you are working directly with the firm; REPSLog is not part of the conversation.
- To return to REPSLog, switch back to the app on your phone, or go back to the REPSLog tab in your browser on the web app.
Tip: If you want the firm to see your hours, do not rely on the booking. Invite them to your account as a managed account (Premium), or send them an export of your log (Settings, then Export My Log).
Troubleshooting
I do not see the "our tax experts" section on my dashboard.
Make sure you are on the Dashboard tab and scroll all the way down; the section sits below the activity cards. Accounts that signed up through certain partner links have the section hidden. If you expected to see it and still cannot, contact us.
Book a Meeting does nothing or the button is greyed out.
The button opens the firm's page in your browser, so check that the app is allowed to open links and that you have an internet connection. If the button is greyed out, that partner has no booking page set at the moment; contact us and we will check the listing.
The firm I spoke to last year is no longer listed.
The directory changes as partners join or leave. If you already have a relationship with a firm, contact them directly; the listing is only how you find them the first time.
The video on a profile will not play.
Profile videos stream from the web, so they need a connection. Try again on Wi-Fi. If the video still fails, the rest of the profile and the Book a Meeting button work without it.

When it comes to tax strategy, please consult with your CPA or tax professional. REPSLog helps you track and visualize your hours, and the partners listed in the app are independent firms. REPSLog does not provide tax advice, and listing a firm is not a recommendation for your specific situation.
